Patent Pending

Here is the conundrum.  Our house is only about 1050 square feet.  We have 2 adults living in said space.  So if we divided the space evenly we would each occupy 525 square feet each.  Add to the mix 3 little girls under 5 years old.  Again if we all shared the space evenly we would each rule 210 square feet, about the size of a standard Four Square court.  But we all know that we don’t rule individual pieces of land in our own homes, (except the Master Bathroom, that is off limits to children, and is our sanctuary of peace in times of trouble) we share them.

A couple of years ago we made an outstanding purchase.  Maybe the best $200 we have ever spent.  We bought a Trampoline, safety net and all.  It’s a great place to toss the kids when it’s a beautiful day outside.  They have truly loved it, and it’s gotten its fair share of use.  The problem within lies in the fact that when the summer hits, the black trampoline gets hot, and the kids don’t want to play outside, making the inside an unbearable place to reside….for most of the day.

Enter a bright Idea!  What the Trampoline needs is some water.  We don’t have a pool so what better way to cool down on a hot day than to jump and play in water on the Trampoline.  Brilliant I know, so for the past couple of summers we have hosed down the kids while they are playing, it’s been a ton of fun.  This year, it’s time to take it up a notch.  Here is what I came up with:

I did this all for about $15.  I should send off for a patent, these things would be jumping off the shelf!  Just don’t tell the water restriction people.

That’s awesome! I’ll be modifying mine this weekend. Got a parts/supplies list?
