A Day Together…Apart

Day 2. So the social experiment continues. Last night the family stayed up late and played a few games. A couple of thoughts: It’s great to see a bunch of old people Dance Dance Revolution and then Wii until they just can’t stand it anymore. Boxing on the Wii, got some marital strife out of the air, anytime you can beat the junk out of your spouse, all is well. Only 4 of us stayed up after that to play cards. Then we hit the sack around 2am, what a vacation.

Today we all got up and went different directions. Our family, my parents and my brother and his family headed to Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg. It was not the best aquarium that I have been to, but it was the nicest, and we got to see them feed the sharks. Some of the other family headed to Cades Cove to explore, and then some others headed to the the outlet malls to go shopping. We all gathered back at the house, ate dinner, and now we have a night of interesting events to come.

Here are a few quotes that I have heard so far:
“That man down there is calling me Georgia!”
“Daddy my underwear fell in the toilet.”
“Stop feeding that Raccoon.”
“There’s something about water.”
“Can somebody please make some brownies.”
“This is the neatest coffee table I have ever seen.”
“Daddy used to be a cheerleader.”
“Wait until we play poker to see how much we owe for the weekend.”
“We have a Jacuzzi? I thought it was a Hot Tub.”
“When do we eat?”
“The guys game room has the pool table, the women’s game room is the one with the washer and dryer in it.”

So far it hasn’t been as explosive as I initially thought it was going to be. But then again we are only on day two. We will see what tonight and tomorrow have in store for us. It should get interesting.

I’ll keep you updated.
